A 10x20 canopy catches twice the wind of a 10x10, so the frame and the anchors matter more than at any other size. Our 50mm hex aluminum 10x20 frame, with cast aluminum joints, is rated for winds up to 50 mph when anchored.
Anchor every leg with sandbags, ground spikes, or tie-down ropes: spikes on grass, sandbags on pavement and indoor-outdoor venues. Coastal, beachfront, and open-lot setups should always ship with anchors. The rating does not apply to an unanchored tent.

At 20 feet the cross-tube span is long and the wind load is high. Choose a 50mm hex aluminum frame with cast joints, not a light steel or 40mm frame.
2 · Portability
The frame packs into a rolling trolley bag. Plan for two people at setup and a vehicle that fits the packed tent.
3 · Sidewalls
Check that 20-ft walls exist for the long side. Ours come in half-wall and full-height versions, in 10-ft and 20-ft lengths.
4 · Anchoring
Outdoors, budget for sandbags, ground spikes, or tie-downs on every leg. The wind rating only applies anchored.

How to Set Up a 10x20 Canopy
Two people, under 5 minutes.

Clear the footprint
Pick level ground with a 10 × 20 ft clear area plus room to walk around it. Roll the trolley bag to the center of the footprint and stand the frame upright.

Walk the frame open together
Each person grabs the legs at one end and walks backward until the frame is about three-quarters open. Keep the legs at their shortest height.
- 03
Attach the canopy
Lay the canopy over the frame and secure it at the corners with the velcro and zip clips while the peak is still easy to reach.
- 04
Lock the frame and raise the legs
Push the frame fully open until the sliders lock, then raise the legs one pair at a time so the frame stays level.

Anchor and add walls
Anchor every leg with sandbags, ground spikes, or tie-down ropes, then zip on sidewalls, half-walls, or a back wall.

- Should I get a 40mm or 50mm frame for a 10×20?
- The 50mm hex aluminum frame is the standard recommendation for a 10×20. At this footprint the cross-tube span is longer, the wind load on the canopy is higher, and the use case is almost always commercial — trade shows, sponsor villages, repeated daily setup. Step up to the 50mm spec and you don't think about the frame again.
